Technically, that is a head bolt heater. A block heater is placed in one of the freeze plug holes. They both contact the coolant to preheat the block and oil. I don't think I have ever seen a GRD with a block heater. I assume there is not enough clearance for the heater element. I just know that I depended on that heater to help the old girl light off in the dead of North Dakota winter!

I had a write-up on this heater but when I "placed inline" the photo the whole SOB thing disappeared into cyberspace!!!!!!

When you Place "in Line" Make sure that your cursor is placed after what you have typed, or on the next line. I only use the "in line" if I do the pictures like I did for Roberts Memorabilia.
