hub puller 3

This seems to be an all to frequent problem with these trucks. Over the course of 5 days, (Sat & Sun plus 3 nights after work), I unsuccessfully tried to remove the driver's rear hub off my L-112. Countless blows of a 3 pound hammer, several tries with a torch, and then the breaking of a smaller puller finally did me in. Long overdue, I decided it was time to make a more adequate puller. I used a 1/4" plate, small piece of 3" square tubing and some flat stock and 1" threaded rod off a larger gear puller from work and here you have it. Even with this set up it took a little persuasion but it finally broke free. Oh what a great feeling!! It was a stubborn bastard, that's for sure!
