Spring Clamps

I don't know if I saw this here or somewhere else, but I didn't originate this idea, but it sure is handy! The springs have some strong holding power.
As you can see, it's pretty simple to cut off the spring clamps from the ends of those "free" hangers that come with garments you or your significant other get. You can use whatever saw you want. It just works out good for me with the coping saw. Once severed from the hanger, a little sand paper to clean up the cut edge and they are ready to use. The misses even likes this idea and wanted to be sure she knows where I keep'em.

Using epoxy to attach magnets is a good idea, however, some epoxies are not compatible with some plastics, so experiment to see which ones will work. I think JB has a disclaimer on the packaging about which plastics it will adhere to and I think it also makes a difference if the plastic is smooth or rough textured. Experiment!

I seem to remember (Dan Cornett's CRS?) a quote going something like, "We must all hang together or we shall hang separately."

We have repurposed hanger clips to hold potato chip bags shut. I have several in the shop to hold the top of my shirt closed when I am welding. I have used a few of the clips to hold pairs of welding and other shop gloves in pairs.

Ah yes, Benny Franklin. Bet he would have been into restoring old IHC's if they had been around then. (If he could drag himself away from the ladies)
