Simplicity Sewing Pattern Case

I did not build the cabinet, but it is painted and repurposed. These metal cabinets have ball-bearing slides and can hold over 100# each. I used to be able to buy these cases for $40 each and not they are $200. I have five.
I needed another shop chair, for visitors. The base is from an office chair and like the Oak seating, it came from a garage sale. For about $10 I have a real conversation piece. Don't Go Here.

I made a shop stool from an IHC tractor seat. the base is an old steel wheel that I welded castors to the bottom of so it move around real nice. I put of piece of sheet metal in the wheel up the tire bead to use a tool or part shelf while working on stuff. It is great for working on things at sit down height such as wheel bearings and brakes and stuff.

Your shop stool is real nice if you need to sit and contemplate for a period of time.

Re: Simplicity Sewing Pattern Case

The sit and think chair is really uncomfortable. I retired the toilet seat chair to storage. I like your implement seat chair idea. I have a bunch of old tractor seats that followed me home. The John Deere 1938 John Deere "D" seat is the most comfortable of all of them, so it continues in service as a tall stool for the person operating the sandblast cabinet. The tall chair needed a foot rest, but it was not practical, so we designed a sliding pedal system for the blast cabinet and the other foot can be rested on the cross-bar. It is a work in progress, note the Vise Grip.
BTW: The blast cabinet is MADE IN CANADA.
