Re: C35 'pickup'

I started cleaning my rims and discovered that I have 1 oddball. 5 rims are ~5-1/2" in width, 1 rim is ~4-1/2". I would really like to find another 4-1/2" rim and use them on the front axle. If I can't find a 4-1/2", I'll settle for a 5-1/2" rim. I do not need the lock ring, only the split rim. If anyone has one they're willing to sell, let me know. Thanks!

No problem Don - I'm still a long way off, just trying to get things I'll need. I'll post an ad on the FB site. If I get desperate I may drive down there and buy one of yours!

Re: C35 'pickup'

Very slow progress, but I can't stay away. I've decided to make my truck a roller in order to help move it around. Springs are all installed, got the front axle installed with new king pins. I took the inspection cover off the rear axle and found what looked like a chunk of axle spline on the bottom next to the ring gear - uhoh. Decided to remove the third member and check it out. Found the rest of the pieces in the axle tubes. Fortunately no damage except for inner axle bearing that is totally shot. So I need a 13389DA rear wheel roller bearing (complete) or a 13396DA bearing and 13390D bearing race. Any clues where to look?

Re: C35 'pickup'

I have been bringing my bearings from my 1926 into the local supplier and they have been matching everything so far, apparently its easier to match up for the old vehicles.

Re: C35 'pickup'

Ummm...I have that diff...complete...maybe?
I usually save this stuff.
If you can source a bearing reasonably that's the way to go. Brighad is a magician with bearing sourcing, it seems. :)

Re: C35 'pickup'

Thanks for the responses, I'll try the local bearing supply. Here's one side buttoned up. Now for some tires! :t3901;

Re: C35 'pickup'

Sure looks like my B and C projects.
:) that frame is unmistakable.
I thought the B and C frames were identical. They are not. Very similiar, though.

Re: C35 'pickup'

That's one heavy looking unit, must have quite the stories to tell.
