Those cast spoke pictures always get me going. Such a wad of metal!

Re: C35 'pickup'

I hear you! I love these wheels, they are the reason I won't switch axles, even though I won't be able to reach the MINIMUM speed limit (6.5:1 rear end)!

I know it's a Ford. 1938. Still has hubcaps. Built in the "big pickup" vein.

Re: C35 'pickup'

yup, that's it. Those rear fenders would be perfect, guess I'll have to make a pair!

Or you can section front fenders to make a set of rears.

That white rear fender was cut out of bigger D/K front fender. I then added a flange.

Re: C35 'pickup'

Small update, I've got my frame painted. Now I need to get busy and find king pins and bushings for the suspension.
Been spending time on my grandson's Opel GT, getting it painted, so I figured I'd get something done on the Binder as well!

Re: C35 'pickup'

Mike, Let me know where those bushings and pins come from. I had a real tight C30 frame that somehow I've lost all the shackle and king pins.

I'll let you know when I figure it out! I don't think finding the bushings will be a problem, we'll see.

Re: C35 'pickup'

I machined grade 8 bolts to work. I had to drill grease hole. Lots of work. But not so expensive.

Re: C35 'pickup'

Thanks for the suggestion. I may try that since I only have to replace 2 pins.

I'm starting to assemble the cab. Anyone have suggestions for what to use as 'welting' between the body panels? I think Ford used to use friction tape. I'll eventually re-disassemble for paint but would like to have an idea of what to use, if anything.
