1954 R110 Rearend

Hi,
Is it possible to swap a 56 S-100 rearend into my 54 R110 and would there be any issues,

Should be a direct swap...same width, same mounting points.
My posts contain my own opinions...your mileage may vary, void where prohibited, objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear, and alcohol may intensify any side effects.

Swapping in a rear end from an S110 would be a direct swap, but you'll find that the rear end in the 100 series (as opposed to the 110 series) is a Dana 44. The axle tubes are smaller diameter. So be sure to get the lower shock mount/spring brackets in the swap. Can't tell you off hand whether the u-joints are the same on both. But an easy swap in any event.

Driveshaft Length might be an issue.
Also a plus is you can change the gears.
