Starting out with a '51 L-172

I had wanted a K/KB for a long time but I saw this and it was love at first sight.

1951 L-172 with super blue diamond 269, two speed rear end.

Couple of rust holes here and there, floors are a bit rusty but on the whole it's in pretty solid condition.
The frame rails have been extended by 3 feet or so, I'll be cutting that off and building a flatbed for it.
Carb needs gone through, it has been sitting for year and won't start, I will check the fuel pump too, ethanol gas may have messed it up.
The previous owner put an alternator on it but it isn't wired up.

Looks like it was originally a dark green, then red, then the orange. Not sure yet what I'll do with the paint.

I'm super excited about it, I'll be sure to take plenty of photos as I work on it.

Welcome! Do you have the hood emblem? If not, start looking on Ebay now, they do come up from time to time.

Wow, that is one clean truck! Looking forward to seeing your progress. You must not be so far from me. I recognize the towing company.

I thought the same thing Jared but don't know where the tank farm is. Maybe up north.
