Re: 1955 R-110 Cummins Swap "Monty"

COPY AND PASTE: How did the Dana 44 rear be to narrow?

Even with 2 inch wheel spacers the tires hit the wheel houses on the box. I measured incorrectly.
I had a situation where negative offset could not correct the error. https://www.wheelpros.com/page/offset-explained/9
The wheel spacer/adapters, I bought, had less than .0001" runout. After install, the runout from the axle changed the original measurement to .0010" , that is too much. I had given some thought to turning out a set of hub-centric adapter rings then I changed our modus operandi. I bought much wider Dana44 axles from a 1997 Ram 1500. I also bought a set of 2016 Ram 1500 20 inch wheels with a positive offset.
The Dana Wagoneer Dana 44s were $500 usd at Snohomish 4X4. This was 2 h-36 min (122.1 mi) via I-5 N The Ram 1500 44s were $1700 cad five kilometers away. With the exchange on the USD to CAD the Jeep axles were $750 including the tax paid at the border.
I am not familiar with the 1356 "T" case. The shift on the fly is interesting and not something the NVG 241 can do.
The 1356 weighs110#. The 241c weighs 90#
