The issue I run into as far as media goes is that I have access to a vapour abrasive blaster so the media has to sink in water to work, the walnut shells will float unfortunately.

Re: Brandon's S-110

When I worked at the frame plant, on the weekends the maintenance folks cleaned some of the weld fixtures with granular dry ice blast. The dry ice evaporates, putting more CO2 in the air, but the result was being able to simply sweep up the weld slag and recycle without having blast media mixed in.
My posts contain my own opinions...your mileage may vary, void where prohibited, objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear, and alcohol may intensify any side effects.

Dry Ice would certainly be a cool blasting media and with relatively no mess it would be a lot quicker.

Took my frame and inner fenders in today and blasted them clean. Found a couple of cracks where the bumper mounts to fix up.

Re: Brandon's S-110

Spent some time at the shop this weekend after running around all week picking up parts for my engine and having it cleaned and bored. Rebuilt my Dana 44 rear end and it went about as well as it could for setting up rear ends. Only had to rebuild it about 5 times. And it was much easier than some, as the pinion locating shims sit behind the race rather than between the bearing and the pinion.

Re: Brandon's S-110

Brandon,
FYI A traveling friend sent me a photo of an S he encountered while eating out last week. (Seems the local club has their monthly gathering at that particular restaurant.)
I don't know much about this vehicle except what can be seen in the photo. My friend relayed that the engine is SBC. To me, it appears the chassis has been swapped, but there is no proof other than the way the wheels appear in the wheel openings. Can't say I think much of the "'Mator" teeth.
