I had not thought of myself as being "retarded" as in the Urban Dictionary description of ehhh. Eh is something some Canadians say and it sounds like "A"

I would go with the second one.

Yes sorry. I intended the latter, not the former.

Re: R SERIES CREWCAB

Next time someone sis about to whine about the cost of an obsolete and not in reproduction IHC front fender, read this. http://dennis-carpenter.com/front-fende ... -16005-pr/
I had been selling good "R" and "L" fenders for $400. The price just went up to $1000 and that is if I like you and your project.
The prices of Old IHC are rising as fast as the Vancouver real-estate prices. I was looking at an early dually Metro for $1500. I had first refusal and when I said I need to think about it, the following bidding war pushed the selling price up to $7500. :t3909:

Yep, almost gone are the days of a cheap IH. At least one that is not rusted through all over.

Re: R SERIES CREWCAB

I've watched the same thing happen with the '60s and '70s BMWs that I grew up with. I've even watched the asking prices of the lowly Sears Suburban tractors go up substantially in the last 10yrs. Used to buy them for $50-100 all day. Now it seems people think they were originally painted green and yellow or yellow and white. Sheeze! I'll just keep buying the clapped out junk and bringing it back to life.

Re: R SERIES CREWCAB

I understand the price frustration. 35 years ago I bought a John Deere 1.5hp "E" type for $100. I did not sell when the price went up to over $2000. Today, I would be lucky to get $500. I gave the "E" type to my daughter. I sold my 356sc for $900 in 1971. I wish I had kept it. You know what a 356 is worth in 2017. Old Binder Bits were worth $15 dollars a ton ..........................................

I was digging around for running board struts today. I waited for the monsoon rains to stop and when the sun came out, I opened my storage trailer and this was looking back at me.
