With the straight frame, you could probably set the rear axle where you want it and drill holes for the spring hangers. But I'm sure you've already thought this through- and I'm just thinking out loud.

I appreciate your thinking "out-loud" I am not all that smart and these daze and I appear to be getting worse. I need to get back out to the shop and I will as soon as I am able and with the Doctor's approval. These "daze" I am seeing a Chiropractor almost every day. I really got messed up this time, but, it is slowly getting better. I appreciate all of the extra TLC my family puts out.
There are a few choices. Our 1940 Ford has full air suspension and our L110 has a combination of leaf and air springs. Both have height control valves from Holland-Neway.

The day is all good news. My latest cherry picker (engine hoist) works perfectly, the crane scale works really well and the best part is the R150 frame is less than half the weight I was told it might be. At 906 pounds with all of the unwanted "junk" still attached I am very pleased. I figure the stuff that needs to be removed from the frame may top another 200 pounds, plus.
I was more than little concerned about the 1700++ pounds being the correct weight. This isn't anything like a pickup frame in strength and dimensions. The frame does have many of IHC family styling cues, except on a big scale.
The weather is warm and sunny today, so I took this opportunity to really check the frame over. There are no surprises .This frame is from an Orchard truck and had not left the farm in over 50 years, I was told.

Some time ago you showed some interest in an IHC crewcab similar to the one I have. One of the members on Garage Journal called EAGLESCOUT94 built one of these crewcabs for himself. I do not have any details of the build or his long term plan. Maybe, if you are still interested, ................................... He is in Central Illinois.

I plan to put two cabs together, myself. That one is not done quite the way I have in mind, so I would end up taking it apart and putting it back together. I just bought a second cab a couple weeks ago.

Really?? Central IL?! That's my backyard. It's not how I envisioned grafting the cabs together, but sometimes having a starting point can make things easier.
