Craigslist'd up another pair of fenders. They aren't show quality but will work. My passenger side is in fair shape so probably won't need to swap that one, but my drivers side was really messed up.

What I had, new one is definitely an improvement.

Well after 3 or 4 attempts I have a firewall/floor in that I don't hate. I've never done much in the way of sheet metal work, but now that my father isn't around to help I've been wasting a bunch of metal trying to figure it out.

Also kind of wishing I had gone for something a little more compact than this massive Ford DOHC engine now :t3716: Going to be super tight getting a steering column and linkage in there. That is part of the reason I scrapped version 2 of the firewall/floor as I needed to keep it tighter to the engine than I had it for steering column clearance.

Apologies to any actual body guys who look in here haha.

Too bad you don’t have a “big truck” cab. I believe they are a good bit longer between the firewall and the door hinges. Good progress though.

My limited experience with the ComfoVision IHC cab is, all of these cabs are the same, in the the area between the floor board and the door opening. .
The ComfoVision cab was available in extended sleeper, open top and very limited numbers of custom built three and four door extended models. I know where the crewcab is hidden.

Also snagged a computer to run the engine. Fully stand alone and programmable for whatever I want to do in the future. Such as a pair of turbos or something like that :D

Sadly no. She is just sitting on the jack stands for the time being. I changed my mind on the drive train, the Ford will be coming out and an inline six going back in. Too many headaches trying to fit that massive engine in there and I wasn't totally in love with it from the start. Said inline six will be from Toyota as it was what I was wanting to do originally.

It is right in the thick of racing season, so I'm out of town nearly every weekend and during the week my spare time is spent working on my bike, so this guy gets neglected. I'll get there some day. Biggest thing is getting my hands on the new drivetrain then I can get back to work fitting it in there.

Not much new here. Finally picked up some wheels/tires for it. Tires are a little lower profile than I was hoping for but they will do the job. The wheels are oem for a Dodge 1500.

This is with the suspension completely collapsed. The bottom of the fender should be about 2" off the ground aired out.

I'm thinking about using oem center caps, but at the moment I only have the one. The wheels have no provision for holding them on so I'll have to attach some clips to do so.

I found a local junkyard with the engine I want. Just need to get out there to get it, hopefully next Saturday.
