This trailer that you speak of, might it be long enough to haul an R150 frame down to the coast?

Probably, If you have seen it, it is that conversion that Mike and his son did on the fifth wheel trailer. I have to work out the details, it seems it belongs down here, so would have to put a plate on it from here to bring it down.

This is an adapter kit for the Ford Flathead V8. I think there is enough information here to take this another step and make an adapter for an old IHC.
I had given some thought to making an IHC to TEC5 adapter. This idea and the bits and pieces have been 'shelved" for the time of being" and I may never get back to it.

I just got a nice and unexpected email from MAGIHC Mike. He is delivering my R150 frame this coming Sunday. I cannot be of much help with the unloading, so my son has offered to be my muscles.

You could email him. I'm sure he could use a little extra atta-boy right now. I will convey your greetings.

Re: 1952-L110 Shorty.

I had to buy a new cover for the tube and rag canopy in the carport. The heavy snow started the destruction and the wind tore the weakened cover into bite-sized-pieces. A few of the L&R parts and some other bits and pieces are exposed to the weather until Friday. I found a replacement cover on Amazon foe half that of the best local price. It shipped from Ontario, Canada.

Box cossmember repop idea

Every one of the 14 Old IHC pickups I have owned has had the same bad design problem with the box crossmembers rusting out. The poor IHC design traps and holds dust and moisture. This combination always rusts the crossmembers out. The attached pictures are of my 1953 R120 box. The crossmembers in the Shorty box are fragile from corrosion and will not be put into service. (picture later)
I will be making the replacement crossmembers with my own design from common dimensional steel available at The Metal Supermarket and/or your local metal store. The square tube separator pieces will be welded in "diamond" position for better dirt shedding. The size of the material is the choice of the builder.
Our L110 Shorty had a 6 foot box that had an original wood deck. The R120 came with an 8 foot steel deck, I will replace the steel with treated wood.

Re: 1952-L110 Shorty.

Some time ago, we bought a matched set of DANA 44 axles from a 1997 Ram 1500. Because the axles are wider than the OEM axles, I think we can control the track width with RAM positive offset wheels.
I was cruising Craigslist this morning and found a new ad for RAM 20 inch wheels. Big deal, you might say. I agree, there are dozens of these wheel sets for sale on CL. Here is the thing, the seller is asking $240.00 for four wheels. The wheels are new because, at the time of his purchase of a new truck, these wheels became take-offs and aftermarket wheels were installed. I text the seller and he verified the $240 is for four wheels. Because he lives in another city close to here and the traffic is terrible, he agreed to meeting at a Chevron Gas Station 10 blocks from here, tomorrow.
