My 9670 has 5 spoke, but my Marmon has the heavier 6, all cast iron of course!

If I were to lower my R or build a crew cab R that’s closer to the ground I’d run these.

Similar to cragars, and AR bullits. I like the rub down the center of each spoke.

lowered down with Supreme wheels. Going lower by the time it's done though.

Because we are going to have our "L" at eye level we will have to have the restoration guy who did our Ford smooth the body panels and apply the paint. Red paint can be difficult.

Re: 1952-L110 Shorty.

Since the topic is hovering around 5 spoke wheels, I came across this side photo of my L. It was taken last year at Daytona Speedway, in the grass beside the start of turn three, during the Turkey Rod Run. When I’m at a show I usually park “at parade rest” - with the air out of the air ride system. The wheels are 17” Billet Specialties, Street Lite series. The tires are sized to give the same overall diameter as the original 6.00/6.50 x 16” tires were. My twisted mind seems to think that preserves some of the same proportions as the original set-up. Fronts are 7” wide, rears are 9.5” side.

Re: 1952-L110 Shorty.

I did some serious Googling for a bracket to fit an air-conditioning pump and the alternator to our Cummins 4bta. I found two companies that make this bracket. One is in Kalispell, Montana and the other is in Arizona.

I don't know if your ac compressor will work, but if you get a dodge a.c. Bracket from a 12v 6bt that will bolt right on the 4bt.

Re: 1952-L110 Shorty.

I will check again. If I remember, there is a situation where the compressor will not clear the IHC frame. Thanks for the information.

The picture shows there is not enough room between the engine and the frame "Y" member. The cab is not going to be used on this "L110". The center set-back in this yellow R160 cab is about 5 inches lower than the pickup cabs and will not clear the TH475 automatic. I am not willing to cut up this cowl section until that is the only option. I may have three other good cowl sections to choose from.
I have the http://pacbrake.com/product-lines/remot ... lter-kits/ The oil filter must be relocated because of a space conflict. I do not like the horizontal oil filter design on the Cummins 4bta because of the mess at change time. Relocating the oil filter was part of the plan before the AC pump made relocation mandatory.

Re: 1952-L110 Shorty.

I ran into the oil filter not clearing, i just picked up the 6bt oil filter mount and swapped it over. Its a horizontal filter and bigger oil filter. It also cleared the oem shock mount.

Re: 1952-L110 Shorty.

I just got off the telephone with one of the customer service advisors at https://www.dieselconversion.com/ This person knows his business and how to service a perspective customer. I have made up my mind and I/we will by buying our AC bracket from Diesel Conversion. Each bracket is custom made at the time of the order. Because the bracket is CNC there is a choice of AC compressors and alternators each require some modification to the base bracket.
I am going with the Pac Brake relocation kit. I want to move the oil filter to a more convenient location. I am thinking the triangle area at the right front of the frame will be an ideal location. The filter will be vertical and accessible from the underside.
Our 4bt has the lower mounted turbo. The 90 degree elbow was making contact with the oilfilter. With our filter relocated, I will be better able to fabricate an airfilter mounting bracket. I think thee might be enough room for one of the 6.8 Diesel filter canisters. I found a BANKS filter canister lid on Craigslist and I hope to be ale to use it. If this filter assembly does not go on the "L" I will make it fit on my "R" Crewcab.
