That would give you full flow oil filter in any event. I have a BG 265 #1,000,059 that came out of a 1968 pickup, and my understanding was that '68 was the last year for them. That NOS one has the old style front pulley on it, which seems odd. But what isn't with IH?

I picked up the NOS BG265 today and started to take it apart for inspection/cleaning/reassembly. I like what I see.

Looks like you found a FINE engine!
My posts contain my own opinions...your mileage may vary, void where prohibited, objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear, and alcohol may intensify any side effects.

To say that I was skeptical when my buddy said that he had located a N.O.S. BG265 would be putting it mildly. When he forwarded me the pics I was astounded. What are the chances that I would stumble onto the largest and latest of the little sixs in brand new condition only 45min from my house?...

Spent a little time cleaning the bores and the outside of the block. That Blue/Grey is really growing on me.
