Re: L truck build

Every time I crawl under my truck I dream of having a lift like that!

Nice job on the truck, nice job on the transmission.

Nice job on the truck, nice job on the transmission.

After I sold my last car I swore to myself I had to set aside the money for a lift. I will never regret that.....I can get done in 30 minutes what used to take me 2 hours. Thanks for the encouraging words on the truck the next step is to figure out how I want the steering column and get a driveshaft made.

Re: L truck build

I had a contractor give an estimate on raising the ceiling 2 feet in the north end of the shop. A four post hoist would be perfect for me.
The ceiling is 10 feet now and another 2 feet would be great.
I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have

Re: L truck build

Finally the column is in. Minor adjustments are needed then clean up and finish the mount. Gotta figure out the steering shaft from the column to the box...

Re: L truck build

Thanks it still needs a little finesse but I do think it will work well and of course that silly shifter will be gone because it will have the 5 speed in the
