Brad's 1954 R Series Build

I shot a facebook pic of the truck in primer to my uncle (previous truck owner) As mentioned early in this thread, he and his buddies put this truck together while high school. He replied with a pic of the truck shortly after he had it on the road. thought i would share with yall. I think the family history of this truck is a reason why i think its cool to be rebuilding it again. Cant wait to get a pic like this after i've got it on the road.

I've just gone thru the thread another time (3? 4? times so far...some pictures are at least 6x!) and gained some inspiration for my '56 S120-4x4. I don't think my rust bugs and parking lot rash are as bad as yours, but I do have some. Your treatment of the cab corners, firewall and fenders is instructive: Thanks for the clear pictures!
They're giving me a clear idea what to look for. I look forward to the final product...if there IS such a thing with a 'project truck'...Your truck is looking really nice, even all blowed apart as it is in the latest pictures.

Nice looking truck! what application is that mustang ii front end made for? I am considering that myself on my 52 L110.

markmonty, its actually a fatman fabrications MII setup thats built for this model truck. LOL, pretty much the only aftermarket thing that actually is.

this weekend, i worked a lil on the dash, filliing holes i dont need, making new ones. I need to make the wiper and light hole yet.....but, thats it. I am ready to have that piece done.

Hope all your Thanksgivings were well. I was out of town the whole week, but took an extra day off work yesterday to mount the seats. I used the previous mounting bracket, that was holding in the old GM seats, just took some angle iron and mated them up. I have a lot of work to do yet to make them look better, however, for now they are secure and now will allow me to mount the Steering column, gas pedal, brake assembly. Planning to work on that this weekend.
