It'll be different that's for sure. I can't really tell how rough it's going to be. Is it "peel off skin" when you brush up against it or more of a modelled finish?

I think the rough surfaces will match the character of the truck.

Its really not too rough as far as the feel of it. And, by simply adjusting the PSI at the gun, as well as adjusting distance I can easily control the texture. shooting at 60 psi seemed to give me the look and feel that i like. And so far, what i have done looks to be uniform in the look.

the research tells me that prepped correctly, this stuff is highly durable, doesn't melt like a rubberized coating, and can be touched up fairly easily if necessary. And its a urethane material....so it is not supposed to fade (any worse than any other paint job i guess)

I exhausted my "test" supply, so i have ordered what i think i'll need to do the rest of the truck.

Sounds good. I'd like to look into a spray-in liner for the bed of my truck once I rebuild it.

The gunmetal gray is darker than i thought it would be, and i hope it ends up looking alright vs the black accents. And hopefully the streaks i can see in the pic...is the lighting or the fact that its still drying. But if not, i guess i'll fix that later

Brad did you get your tires and rims figured out.. I jsut finally got my right side inner fender on and going to test this weekend and see what i get for the rubbing ..I believe i have one and two inch spacers in the shop.. I will do some testing this week since the front clip is done drying and painted .. Will post pics later when i get them taken..thanks mark

Thanks Mark, I appreciate it. I haven't checked on it yet as i have been putting in all my time getting the cab and stuff painted.

I am guessing that an 8" rim with the right backspacing (and/or spacer) is going to workout OK on the fronts. For the rear, my plan of building out a wood bed again means that i can do whatever i want as far as wheels and tire size goes.

I did, however, have a conversation with some people at work today who are in town from Amarillo. Turns out all 8 of them are car guys.....and 1 of them has a line on a bed. So......my plans might be changing as far as the bed goes. Who knows what the fruits of that will be.

not a huge update, but i did get the front runner assembled. I wanted to make sure all the parts were there and that they fit.

Looking forward to putting it all in the truck again.

dumb question alert..... based on how these tracks are on the windows....which one is driver and which one is passenger?
