dual carb manifold

Is there such a thing as a dual carb intake manifold for a GRD-214 engine?

Thanks in advance

After sitting for 25 years or so I've got compression back in the cylinders, a very good 12 volt spark and a carburetor kit and fuel pump. Time is my big problem, mechanical ability is pretty good (50 years, 20 as an engine rebuilder, the rest as shop owner, and Auto Tech teacher. One floor pan done and plenty of ideas.

Manifold?????

Re: dual carb manifold

A dual carb setup will do more for looks and next to nothing for performance.
Coincidentally, I saw the manifold you ask about earlier this week. Now, if I can just remember where.

Re: dual carb manifold

I think fabricating one for someone like you would be easy.

Ellis Intake is the name you are looking for, I think.

Best of luck. Remember to post pictures here of what you are up to.

Yes I knew that. Performance is not a big concern at my age. :0 This is a FUN project, looking mainly for "cool".

Thanks for the reply.

Re: dual carb manifold

No advantage. A GRD can get all it needs from the stock 1bbl. For cool, how about 2-3 side draft SU's or Strombergs?
Having spoke to someone who had an Ellis on a RED. he said the only thing it did was cause him to fill the tank more often, SO... He did a LOT of work and machining and fitted a port injection system to the RED as saw real gains in power and economy. Neat job but not for the faint of heart or pocketbook.

Try this guy. http://hamiltonfuelinjection.com/
There are several You Tube videos on Hamilton EFI. EFI adapted to an old engine raises the WOW factor a lot. A little research could help a person find a small Eaton Supercharger. These SC are relatively easy to adapt. A few GM small cars had Eaton Superchargers as OEM. It is common for these to sell for about $100 or less.

Or maybe the Saab turbocharger I have in my BOYD place.

Just kicking stuff around.
