My KB3 Arrived Today!

i finally got to see my KB3 for the first time!! Delivered to Shellsburg,Iowa, from Chase,Kansas! It was better than expected!! All 6 tires have better than 90% tread, and none are even slightly weather checked!! The truck started right up,and Ron backed it off the trailer, almost before I was able to turn the camera on!! Thanks to Ken Aldridge,A.K.A. "deadwrench.com",for an honest and reliable transaction! Thanks to Shawn Wilson, and his Brother-In-law,for a HASSLE-FREE delivery!! VERY PLEASED!! https://youtu.be/lFH5ewEHS0w

Re: My KB3 Arrived Today!

I bought a 6 v battery today, and TRIED to start the KB3. All it did was growl, and barely turned over. I'm going to have the starter rebuilt, and go with 12V.I pulled the Gen,and I'm going to have that converted to 12V. I pulled the M.C.,and i'm going to have that rebuilt too! i lubed up the windshield crank and mechanism, along with both door regulators. All windows crank like NEW!! NO rust around inside windshield surround area, either!! WOW!! I'll keep you posted on the progress!

Re: My KB3 Arrived Today!

I got my new master cylinder,as well as the new (rubber) brake lines, and M.C. rebuild (front) kits. i started it up,and fired immediately, even after sitting for two weeks! I noticed the PTO was engaged! I saw the shaft move, but didn't even hear the pump)!! I pulled the lever, and the box started to raise!! Both hydraulic cylinders work, but the box raised about halfway,(about a 45 degree angle),and stopped. I think I need to check the hydraulic fluid level. I'm LOVING this little KB3 more, every time I work on it! I'll keep you all posted on the brake progress. Anyone know of a source for the rear wheel cylinders?? I'd rather buy new,but if kits are available,I'll go that route if mine are rebuildable. THANKS!!
