Re: K and KB tachometer

CB89, I cannot find the for red engine markings. I am thinking this tachometer will work with my shop made tach-drive. What say you?? I have been looking at the IH tachometer and I am about to buy it now.

Re: K and KB tachometer

the color bands mark the operating range for the larger RED (Big six) engine. The one marked for the BLD has the red line at 3100 RPM. The Tach itself will work fine for either engine, just the markings will not be correct for the smaller engine.

Re: K and KB tachometer

So the one listed is redline at 3000 and for a bld , and the one showing the redline at 2600 is for the red diamond ? Maybe the other way around , when I was calculating my top speed in my truck with a BD 308 I remember using 2750 , and my tach is red at 3000 and my motor really dosen't rev that high

Re: K and KB tachometer

They are good looking. I have one from the LRS series and a couple of AC tachs. I am likely waiting for the impossible, none of the ones I have look as good as the K series tachs.
Glad you have one, sorry they cost what they seam to cost.
