Sometimes these pins will pop up on ep*y. I got mine from Northwestern Auto Supply. Phone 616-241-5611. They are helpful folks.

When I did my kingpins, I found out there were two different sizes. The very earliest were smaller than later ones, I think because they found that the pins needed to be beefed up. Stickman 207

Where did you find yours, Stickman, and what size did you end up going with? What is the year of your D-2?

Thanks,

John

I got mine from Tom Underwood, parts of the past. I have a 1937 D-2 but can't remember the serial no. The mechanic who installed the king pins discovered they were the wrong size. I will check my serial no and my records regarding the two sizes and get back to you. I think I still have the ones I couldn't use. Stickman 207

Jupes- I was able to check my file and found some notes. The ones I got from Tom Underwood were size .870 and the size I needed were .750. The .750 are about 4.5 inches long and the .870 are about 5 and 3/8s inches long. The length of the slots on the pins are different too but I don't know how much. I don't know if I still have the .870 ones but will check. Meanwhile I think you can tell how long yours are and thereby figure out which ones you have. I think my D-2 is quite early-about the 13 thousandth one built- it has the park lights in the head light can and uses pre focus light bulbs, not sealed beam. Hope this helps.- Stickman 207

I need the .870. Do you still have yours? Would you be interested in selling?

My zip is 06360 if your interested and want to determine the shipping with your price.

Thanks, jay
