Any luck yet? What happened to the engine that was in your truck?

Re: HD 213 Engine

Despite installing new timing gears and chain, redoing the rod bearings and other smaller tweaks, I still have a loud knocking sound which we now think may be a bad crank. Am getting quite discouraged.- Stickman 207

Re: HD 213 Engine

Sorry to hear of troubles. Hopefully you can find a good shop to confirm problem and possibly repair.

Re: HD 213 Engine

I have a set of .002 undersize new main bearings I would possibly sell. I also have a rebuilt HD213, casting code 1945 , Green Diamond on the side of the block. I did not do the rebuild on this engine. I bought a D2 with it in for a parts truck. To be sure it is good one should take the ouil pan off and check the bearings and journals. It has new pistons and appears to have been board out on the top side. I took the head off just to look in and every thing on top appears new.

I would be interested in the motor if for some reason Stickman decides against it.

Re: HD 213 Engine

I just sent WOpp an email regarding the bearings. I am thinking that I have so much into the engine I havenow that I probably will try to do what I need to to make it work so at least at this point I will pass on the engine. I thank WOpp for putting it out there but if you guys can make a deal go for it.- Stickman 207
