D-2 Hood hinge repair or replacement

Has anyone repaired or replaced the hood hinge? My hinge itself has separated and I think my best bet is to find a new hinge and attach the hood sides with rivets as was originally done. Wondering if anyone has replaced or repaired the D-2 hood hinge? Stickman 207

I ordered a Ford center hood hinge in stainless steel (no more rusting) from Obsolete Auto Parts for $50. It's the exact same hinge only about 1" longer. You will have to cut or grind off the extra to make it work but it fits perfectly! The end pins fit in the IHC cab and grill retainers. You can paint it or leave it shiny. Here's the part number 67-16736 center hood hinge. I forget what year Ford it was used for. You will need to drill bolt holes to match or you can have it welded on. Good luck.

Here's their web site: www.classicautoparts.com ...if anyone is trying to find them! Mostly Ford stuff but some could be used for ours.

Any information if this would work for say a 36' C series type hood also? Can not seem to find clear enough information and need to find a replacement. Thanks
