1939 D-15 switch ID help

I took this switch off my D-15 panel but have no idea what it all controls since I have no manual available. I've included pictures of where its at on the instrument panel.

Re: 1939 D-15 switch ID help

it's a K series 1941-1949 headlight switch someone replaced the D one with, while not "correct" it will work, and no one will know it's not original unless they stick their head under your dash, as the knob is correct.

Re: 1939 D-15 switch ID help

Thank you gentlemen. This was an old farm truck so combining what was available wouldn't surprise me. I guess I could use a voltage reducer to still use it since I'm planning on a 12 volt upgrade of the old 6 volt system.

Thanks Scottso for the links, I'll definitely have to buy one.

Re: 1939 D-15 switch ID help

this switch should work fine on 12v. I've converted a few KBs and never volt dropped the headlight switch just the bulbs, you need volt drop to gas and temp though, Amp gauge doesn't care,

Re: 1939 D-15 switch ID help

I have a question about the switch & control cable location. Our 1937 D2 is set up like this... upper right is choke, lower right is throttle, upper left is headlights, lower left is wiper. Is this correct? And yes, that is a newer style switch that will work just as good as the original.
Thanks,
-Snowman.

Hey Snowman,

My 1937 D2 is set up like this... upper right is choke, lower right is throttle, upper left is headlights, lower left is instrument
cluster light. The switch for the wiper motor is on the wiper motor access panel behind the sun visor.
