37-40 D2serial #'s?

I am buying a "38 D2" and think it is a 39...does anybody have serial #'s for D2's? As i remember the actual serial # is stamped on the front frame rail.

According to the Wisconsin Historical Society, the D2 CHASSIS production numbers
commence as follows:
1937 - 501-
1938 - 35078 -
1939 - 52011 -
1940 - 80169 -
The number is stamped on the chassis, above the front LH spring plate and will begin
with D2- xxxxx --- this number should mirror the vehicle ID plate located either on
the firewall or, depending on year, the driver's side cowl...
