Now, that is a real truck. I hope that is complete and good enough to have a proper restoration. There something nice about an old truck struggling along and trying to keep up in the rush of 2014. It is these trucks that held out countries together and hauled the industrial revolution through the hard times of the 1930's. While I like modern running gear, there is a time when respect for our elders is due.
There must have been some industrial espionage back in the day because many of the trucks from that era have a similar look. This truck was 14 years old when I was born.

According to the archives at Wisconsin Historical, the B-2 production started in 1931 with serial number 501. 1932 started with 11,251. 1933 with14689, and 1934 with 18,537. So if yours is a 1931 and the serial number falls in that range, it was one of 10,750 produced that year. I've only seen one or two other posts about the B-2 so I don't think there are many survivors. Great truck thanks for sharing. MM

I was looking at that binder page it said that only 3666 were built is that correct or not and what is the difference between a B 2 and a B 3 if they're both one and a half ton trucks

I can't verify for accuracy of either source, but feel the Wisconsin Hitorical archives would be the best data. Crismon's Gray book says the B-2 is the old six speed special. As such it would have the 2 speed rear axle. My b-3 has a single speed rear axle and has an International FAB-2 engine it is 206 cubic inch and overhead valves. MM

so what does the B stand for compared to an Aas an A 3 or a B 3 thanks

That is just the model designation. After the earlier trucks they started the A series then the B series, The C series, the D series, then jumped to the K and after the war the KB series followed by L, R and S series.
