Hi All,
I just recently purchased a 1928 Six Speed Special. I was wondering if the "vin" number for registration purposes was the chassis Number/serial number or was there an actual vin number stamped on the truck somewhere. The serial number is x18902f. Any info is much appreciated.

Thanks
Ben

The Chassis number should be the "vin". You have no Title?

Ben welcome to oldihc and the addiction of owning a OLD truck.
The serial number is the only identification that these old trucks have has yours still got the id plate on the cowl or is it the number that's stamped on the left hand chassis rail( US drivers side) it's on the outside of the rail between the front and the front axle normally between the 2 rivets. The id and frame number should match.
The only other number will be engine number this to was on an id plate.

Just wondering if you could post a picture of your truck so it can be added to the registry at www.vihtr.com.

I have sent you a message with my email.
