I have purchased a 1926 International S-26 1-1/4 Ton Picckup.

Would anyone known if the manual thats posted on Binder Books will have the engine specs ( such as the torkue and patern to tighten down the engine head)?
I have ordered the book, but am not sure if its what I need.

I would also like to know:
1- if a 1927 Gas cap would be the same for the 1926 truck.
2- If there is a replacement number for the Distributor ca, wires and points for the S-26.
3- where to find a spare rim (20 inch).
4- who would be able to remanufacture the leather universal joints for the drive shaft?

Any help is greatly appreciated

This is a Canadian built truck, from Hamilton Ontario. It spent its whole life in Saskatchewan. Everything works like a 5 year old machine, very little surface rust on the underside of the fenders.

Give them a little time, these guys will know, and be able to direct you in the proper directions. Did you intend to post in the build off section? If not let me know and I can move the thread over to the regular section. It is up to you, especially if you are going to do a restore or freshen on the vehicle and want it left here. WE ALL Love Pictures, especially of details on how something is done.

Think this will work for now, if you get more involved, you can "start" a build thread in the other section later. We are not that uptight about things. Just think you will get more response here for now. That is a nice looking truck! Welcome to the fun!

Welcome to the madness now that you are a owner of a pre 1930 international.

You have got yourself one very nice original it will have a six cylinder lycoming engine ( pictures please) might have a source for the distributor parts will just have to dig back out the contact information, the gas cap should be the same as a 26, now finding those rims is going to be a real challenge as that is normally the first part that rusts away on these old girls and finally the leather universal joint I got my one made by a place in England for my 1927 SL-34.

Give me a few hours and I will dig out my books I'm sure I have got a S-26 one and can then confirm the book number to the one at binder books.

I'm not too familiar with the leather U-joints but I did see an item on Restoration Supply Company's Catalog pg 50. comes in 3/16" and 1/4" thickness
Drive Coupling Material: Rubber impregnated cloth designed for use as u-joint and drive coupling
medium. Material is to be stacked to fill larger distances. Sold by the square inch. State required
dimensions when ordering. Color is grayish.

This is the place I got my new flexible universal joint from if you are only planning on very short drives or trailering it to shows you might be able to get away with using the rubber that Mike mentioned above. But as I drive mine a fair bit we wanted a real good one I think we are now at about 800 miles since restoration was completed 18 months ago.
