Leaking D-2 Trans

Im looking for a solution to my leak that is in front part of D-2 trans. It appears to be coming from lower part of bezel that is bolted onto main bellhousing. It is not coming out from around shaft. New gasket applied between bezel and trans. Maybe from around threads of bolts or end of shaft that protrudes the lower front trans? Any ideas. I am getting tired of the oil slick in my garage. Thanks. TnBogy.

How bad of a leak is it? Remember these early vehicles had not been perfected to the degree that todays vehicles are, it was the norm for them to seep some. (especially the pre 20's) Another thought is how thick of gear lube are you using? You might try a 140 wt. MM

I guess I would agree with MM. When was the last time I saw a completely dry old trans or engine?
Not lately.

Trans leaks approximately 1-2 tablespoons in a weeks time. I am using GL-1 85W- 90 wt. I may switch to 140 wt fluid. Thanks for your replies.
