Been trying to buy this for two years and finally got my hand on it. 1936 truck with every nut bolt and part from what I can see. Still sorting through bag send boxes. Going to be needing some guidance hope there Is someone spit there to help. If everything is there thinking stock restore. If missing or motor and driveline bad shape will have stock look modern drive line. If anyone has done one would love to know what you have done. Also is there parts avail. Biggest thing is I have the wood components to the cab but they are rough and cracked need new ones made and want to know if there is templates at all available. Thanks let me know what you think. Will add more photos as I sort it out.

Looks like a great find! It appears to be a 113" wheelbase C-1. If it is a 1936, the wood part is fairly easy to do as the doors will be all steel (1934 and 35 have wood frame doors). As far as I know there are no templates available but if you have the old wood you should be able to use that for templates. I have restored a 35 C-1 and a 36 C-15, including wood replacement, so I may be able to help you.

Looks very nice and not much rust anywhere, stock if you can but remember they are not a 55 mph truck.

Nice find. The C 1 would be a good candidate for a Rod with a no hood and a big v-8 with lots of chrome. Think old school Hot Rod, and not a Rat Rod cobbled up junk pile. MM

No wood in doors just the cab just thought if templates were around make it easier. I can build anything out of wood so not worried definitely not a rat rod. Too many parts original to do that. Thinking stock with modern drive. Building a 55 Chevy truck right now for a play toy just want a round town and show cruiser.

These are flat beautiful trucks, maybe the prettiest IHCs ever.
I would rank them up with anything else from that era.
In my opinion a SBC isn't a great idea here.
In such a beautiful truck I'd like to see something more interesting for motivation.
In my C-1 I'm working on putting the entire drivetrain from a 1997 Firebird 3.8l (F.I. Buick V-6) automatic, differential.

Possibly thinking a diesel. Have access to bread truck drive trains. 4 cyl mean little engines. Definitely something different. Going to pick up stock engine and rims this weekend with a few other parts will toss on a few more pics.
