SSS Restoration update

Haven't posted any progress on my project for a while so here's an update. I had to make new inner fenders and splash apron as the old ones were too far gone.Image

Finally got some paint on her last weekend. Now just need the rad shell back from the platers.

"How did you shape the sheet metal ?"
Mostly just using a brake, I had to do some hand forming on the lip and a few places. I attempted to contour them to the fender brace but that didn't work, so when I had a matched set, I bolted them to the truck and formed the braces to fit the sheet metal. It took some time but i'm pretty pleased with the result.

Looking really good! Can you come to the Rocky Mountain IH Rendesvous July 4th weekend? Alex West has been inviting everyone he knows with a six speed special to be there. He's hoping for the largest gathering of six speed specials in recent times. It is in Salida Colorado this year. MM

I'd love to get to a meet but that's a LONG haul. How about when there's one in Montana or N.D. :D
