1916 IH Coca Cola Delivery Truck pictures

hi,

Here for your viewing pleasure is a 1916 IH Coca Cola delivery truck. Asking price on December 30, 2013 was $58.000 but its unknown what offer was actually accepted. At that time the truck was located in Boynton Beach, Florida. Just thought I'd share and record it here before the info disappears.

Here is the actual listed description:
This is a 1916 International Harvester Truck that was used to deliver Coca Cola products. This truck has all original parts with the wood and seats that was restored to look original. This truck runs and drives. Even though pictured is a crank start it is electric start but it can be converted back to crank start. This engine uses gas but can be converted to Xylene fuel. Also included is the original tools with toolbox. These pictures cannot express how special this truck is, it is a must see.

Overridesteve

Thanks for putting them up.

We had all been following its progress viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2808&start=10 from when it first went up at 150k, but I think the item ended with 2 offers so not sure if it sold. Would like to find out.

Just noticed the front spring shackle and hanger. Is that how a model K looks? I know it's not an F or H. MM

Here's one more to add to the collection - a 1916 International Model G

Mike Yes it's a model K. It has the helper springs on the back and the 'different' front shackle bracket. Jim

Hey Steve, Do you know where the Model G photo was taken or who owns the truck? It does look like a model G as hood is larger and extends beyond the front fenders as well as the rounded front frame. However they did not start production of the G until 1917. MM

That's cool. Never seen pics of the engine layout before. Curious that the radiator is against the "firewall" like that. Does that restrict airflow so that they are prone to overheating? Did they do that so you could get a little heat in the cold months? (Like maybe open a flap or something). Does the fan push or pull the air through the rad?

Damn- now I want one! :t3724:
"How the heck did that happen?"
