Re: head torch

1929 model A ford book says 50 pounds torque. Start with the bolts at the center of the head and work outward. I usually repeat after the engine is warmed up. Jim G

Tim

Not a good idea to use a torque wrench to undo bolts.

The waukesha book i have got does not give torque settings

Re: head torch

I think Trevor meant that you could mess up a torque wrench trying to break loose stuck bolts. I use a breaker bar with a 6 point socket and a piece of pipe to undo stuck bolts. Yes use your torque wrench to tighten the bolts truck and keep us posted. Jim

Sorry as Jim said it is not a good idea to use your Torque Wrench to undo bolts as it can effect it. By all means a must when torqueing up head bolts.
