Very impressive. You gotta decode the door for us.
I know I'm asking a lot but a short movie with sound would make us all smile.
I'd love to HEAR it, too.
Very nice.

Great to see another old girl being preserved.

That smile you got on your face can only be had from people who get to drive one of these old internationals.

The 63-30 Club was an auto club in Tama Iowa back in the 60s (so I was told). US Highway 63 and (The flying Lincoln) Highway 30 intersect there so the name of their Club.
This Truck sat as a display as the transmission was shot. The model 33 had an aluminum tranny housing and I don't know if any survived. The transmission now is out of a Model 43. It went from a 3spd to a 4spd. Unfortunately I am having a real hard time locating Model 33 rear wheels. I have the parts to convert it (with a lot of work) to a 43 but I would really prefer to keep it mostly a 33.

I would like to post a video. I am not sure I have the capabilities. I will see if a buddy of mine will help.

Nice Truck, wish I had known you were close to the route I just took out to visit Frank in Albia and Bill in Burlington. I would have run by for a visit. Tell us more about the wheel problem. It appears you have rear wheels on the truck, are they not the correct wheels or are they just in need of repair? I am not familiar with the model 33 and 43. Mike in Elizabeth Colorado

The Models 33, 43 and 63s were IHC heavy weights. They were usually used as dump trucks, tow trucks and well drilling rigs. The 33 is a 1 1/2 ton the 43 is a 2 ton and 63 a 3 ton... That is if I remember right. The 33 and 43 share the same engine, that of a Farmall Regular tractor. The 63 has the same engine as a 10-20 McCormick Deering tractor. The 33 has a 3 spd tranny and the 43 has a 4spd tranny. The 33 down hill and with the wind will do about 20mph in high.

The spokes and rims are pretty rotted. I am afraid to dismount the tires as I doubt they would go back together. As you can see the left rear is sandwiched between a couple of round plates. The rubber is hard enough that with through bolts and the plates, the truck is drivable on it. The other rear does hold air. The 43 brake drum is just enough larger that it won't fit on the 33's hub and axle. The fronts are the same. I can swap out the rear axle and put a front matching pair of cast wheels on the back but I would also have to change out the springs and drive shaft essentially making the truck a Model 43.

If I had those wheels they'd be there.
During my scrounging I have come across solid rubber tires with wheels like that. At the time I wasn't smart enough to know that they might be IHC.
The wheels i saw weren't with an old truck but by themselves. Lots of makes used them.
Now I'll take home anything that old. I won't get fooled again.

I was looking at the spec sheet on the model 33 over at the Wisconsin Historical library. The description of the rear axle sounds like they may have still been using the same axle as the older shovel nose trucks, F,H,K etc and newer 21 and 31. If it is the same axle it would be easier to look for. I just sent hubs and rims to Trevor in Australia. I think he has some heavier wider wheels. I'm thinking off a model K. We should find out more and if Trevor has decided what he is doing with his model K parts or if he is going to build an H and a K. The ones he has would be solid tires rather than pneumatic.

That is good information on the H,K axle. The fronts are interchangeable with 43s but the rears are not. Thank you!
