39 D-15 identity

I have the numbers off my D15 Dually truck and was looking for some help.

D15-1701 is on the firewall and the frame.
HE-3293 is on the floor of the cab.

So far I know its a Canadian truck but not sure on actual year, options and how many were actually built as a dually.

thanks.

Re: 39 D-15 identity

Any help would be fantastic. My son and I are going to start playing with it soon.
Oh, I believe its a HD 213 and it's a 4 speed. There's a switch above the drivers windshield inside, so I think it's electric wiper. Also it has an interior light behind the drivers door, up in the head liner.

was there lots of dually's with a box built?? I can't seem to find any pics of others.

Have you tried the Wisconsin Historical Society? Not sure if their records go back that far, or if they have the Canadian records, but it might be worth a shot.

Don't know much about the Ds, but would love to have one of my own someday. Got any pictures? That might help.
"How the heck did that happen?"

I haven't tried the WHS as it was my understanding that they didn't have the Canadian data...but I could try anyways. Worth a shot.
I have lots of pics :) I will try and post one now. Tks.

This might be the page :http://content.wisconsinhistory.org/cdm/compoundobject/collection/ihc/id/5529/rec/12

I can not remember where, but someone once said that there might be some data for Canadian trucks stored at a university?
