Armored wiring

Working on the wiring for my 36 C-30. It has what is called armor wire for the circuit wiring runs. Does the armor also serve as the circuits grounding path or is all the grounding frame related. Yes, I am aware that this truck was originally positive ground 6 volt. It is now 12v negative earthed.

Re: Armored wiring

As far as I can tell on my 36 C40, the armor wrap was just to protect the insulation and was not used as a ground wire. I haven't found any electrical connections to the armor wrap anywhere on my truck. In a few places the wire clamps holding the wires in place may end up grounding the armor, but in my truck it wasn't used as a ground wire. Hope this helps.
