HD-213 STANDARD BORE SIZE

Does anyone know what the measurement is for a standard cylinder bore? Head is off the block finally and would like to know what bore this engine is.
Thank you,
-Snowman.

The new Green Diamond engine used in the 1/2, 3/4, 1, and 1-1/4 ton truck models has a 3-5/6 inch bore and 4-1/8 inch stroke and develops 82.8 brake horsepower at 3400 r.p.m. The new Green Diamond engine for the 1-1/2 ton truck model has a 3-5/16 inch bore and 4-1/2 inch stroke and develops 93 horsepower at 3400 r.p.m.
I found this with Google. You should try it sometime.

Snowman, The HD-213 has a bore of 3-5/16" and stroke of 4-1/8".
Generally if the engine has already been bored out the piston will have its oversize stamped on the top of the piston.

Let us know what you find.

Re: HD-213 STANDARD BORE SIZE

Fraction inches:
3.316" = 53/16" = 3 5/16"
This looks like OEM to me.
I couldn't remember the calculation, so I Googled for the answer.

Re: HD-213 STANDARD BORE SIZE

I get 5/16 as 0.3125"
to covert fraction to decimal divide the numerator (top number) by the denominator (bottom number).
He didn't say if he was measuring the bore or the piston, but either way it .0035 over std. if the measurement is accurate to that degree.
I'd call it std as most oversize piston start at least at .010, not saying you'll never find a .005 but it would be rare!
