D2 Gas Tank

Anyone have a D2 gas tank for sale or know of a raesonably close replacement that might need some modification?- Thanks for any advice anyone can provide.- Stickman 207

If the design of the tank is not too complicated, it is possible for a local sheetmetal shop to reproduce a tank. When I was fresh out of trade-school, I was given the job of building a fuel tank for an old truck. In those way-back-daze, all of the joints were soldered. After cutting out the original filler neck the solder, on the neck base, was cleaned up and the neck was soldered onto the new tank.
When I went through trade school, soldering was taught. By the time I got to year 4, the calking gun was the new thing.
