Re: Carburetor information wanted

Jon

I had noticed that those 2 carby's looked to be the same on the sheets I will ask some of the owners on our registry www.vihtr.com to send me some detailed pictures to see if they have any markings on them.

Re the other ones give me some time and I will have a look thru some more books, this week is going to be a busy one so will see how I go.

Great reference on parts you have got for many different kits thank you for making it public and for helping to keep some of our old girls running with parts most of us thought we would never find.

I have a T4XF (S 4-31) on my 1925 Model S Truck.
I would really like to purchase a rebuild kit for it.

Re: Carburetor information wanted

Finally, some decent weather, so I could get in our unheated warehouse.

I do have samples of the Ensign 1 1/4 inch model D, and the earlier Holley model K; so eventually will be able to offer some parts for these.

Am going to do a little speculation, but not enter the speculation into the database.

Thanks to Trevor, we know that the early 1920's IHC with the larger engine (284 CID) used the Ensign model D 1 1/4 inch. I have another Ensign model D that looks identical to the 1 1/4 except it is a 1 inch, and therefore smaller all around. My guess would be the smaller 202 CID engine also used the Ensign model D, but the 1 inch version.

Re: Carburetor information wanted

Trevor - GREAT information.

Thanks!

Will update the database and website as soon as my main computer gets some new software. It seems someone must have downloaded a "cat" into my main computer, as it devoured the "mouse" software. It is a laptop, and the internal touchpad is meant for those who travel, NOT those who work.

Something I find interesting is that original Stromberg documents which I have state that Stromberg sold carburetors to IHC for some of these applications to be used as original equipment. This will require more research. Maybe there is a time differential. Will need to study dates when I can.
