Very nice. You really got your work cut out for you' It will truly be a ground up rebuild. I wish you much success with your project. My 1928 6 speed special was not near as intimidating as yours but the rewards will be there every step of the way. Go for it!!!

Viewing your find brings up a question, Our Canadian trucks ( Hamilton production), seem to have nickle plated radiator shells, where yours, and most, if not all, the U.S. ones have painted ones. Anyone know about this? Dress up option??

I did some research and found a spec sheet that states the nickeled radiator was special equipment and cost extra. I have personally seen 2 restored 6 speed specials here in Nebraska and both have nickeled radiators. I have pictures of almost 30 restored, unrestored and derelict, 6 speed specials and only those 2 have nickeled radiators.

This is a very nice restoration we have been told it was a six figure job. It has a lot of good reference pictures and instructions well worth a few hours to look at.

I did find that site a few days ago. A 6 figure restoration you say!? After looking at the extensive and exquisite attention to detail, that is entirely possible. I thought the truck looked pretty good before it was restored!!!

Nebraska Kirk, your comments are interesting about the nickled rad shells as both mine and my parts truck had nickled ones, I have an advertisement (Canadian) however that shows painted. Must have been one of the few dress-up options on a truck.
Regarding the pictures, that's what you call over restored. IH NEVER had it that good.

That's a pretty awesome find Kirk. It makes you think just how long this was allowed to sit out there and yours is certainly more complete than my A2. Lookin' forward to meeting you and having a look at your new acquisition.
