Bill:
A 1950 Wagner brake parts catalog identifies the old Wagner number for the MC as FF1402 and the casting number is FE800. It was used on Brockway, GMC, IHC, Mack, Reo and White trucks. IHC number is 68360, presumably with an H suffix - that letter is missing in the catalog. The GMC number is 5245798. Maybe this will help if you're looking for NOS parts.

Your truck looks great....ours is not painted, may leave it "patina". Having trouble finding a radiator cap, extra mirror, and master brake cylinder. if you have any leads, let me know. Your truck is pristine!!!! Bill

I think this kit on eBay (191321393069) might also work. It's from Argentina and I recall some restorers using this seller and being satisfied. Looks like it has the aluminum piston, which the Raybestos MK39 kit does not (at least by the Rock Auto photo).

The application list in that link is way outa here for the K's at least.

Bill,take a look at Fig.04-16 in the link;
http://www.hansenwebdesign.com/truck/fi ... Brakes.pdf

Does yours look the same? If so, I have to lean towards it being what you have and will have 1-1/4" bore which uses the kit MK1 etc. I posted on the 1st pg. Measure the bore is all it takes...

Scottso:
Since it looked like there might be an error in the eBay listing I checked back with the 1950 Wagner catalog and the listing has it correct-assuming that Wagner had it right. The specific model years, models, and brake types listed all match to either an FE661 or FF1402 master cylinder, both of which used an FC3622 master cylinder kit (1.5 in.). Two exceptions: the catalog does not list the CS35 model, and the D400 and DS400 only show up for the 1940 model year (not '37-'40).

Well Tom first of all "assume" etc. is not in my vocabulary, I prefer presume. ;) :lol:

As for the MC, The thing I'm skeptical about in that link is the K/KB applications listed, they just don't all seem jibe. I'll have to check a bit. Image Mostly for my curiosity really.

I'm very familiar with the FE661 (IH 48175H),it's a 3 bolt firewall mount and was used into the 80's in the S-series MD trucks with code 04011 it's kit is the MK39. Probably the longest, most common MC ever used by IH,always had 2-3 on the shelf.
Not sure on the 1402 number or what type it is,I tried all the prefix configurations Wagner used,FC,FD,FE & FF and didn't get a single hit with Google nor any cross references.
I also tried 68360 that you posted before using all the suffixes beginning with H that IH used, came up with zilch there too. :(

The MC in question is a 3 bolt frame mount cyl. which is why I believe it to likely be the one I've referred to before. The very same one in the MT-97 link in my previous post. That IH pn 104414HAY is an old enough number to have been used pre K series as well and is a 3 bolt frame mount MC. Add it all up and logically (no you know what here. lol) it points in that direction.

Does that Wagner catalog happen to have pic's of the parts in that book? I know they had quite a few catalogs in my day,but none were what I'd call a master or complete one, application was in one, cross ref another and so on. I had a stack of all at one time, wish I still did.

How about any D series IH parts manuals? I'd sure like to have the brake section of any of those. The pages missing from Irish Mikes MT-52D would be nice too,Group 12, pages with 1204C all the way to 1211B.

Btw, according to Tractor & Construction Plant Wiki the D/DS400 was only built in 1940.

Your truck looks great!!! I'm still working on mine, looking for a radiator cap which seems impossible to find, any year/vehicle cap will do as long as it fits. Is yours standard, does it have a brand on it? Thanks, Bill
