1916 coal scuttle for sale ebay

I see it's back!
Still priced about 5 times what it's worth in my humble opinion.
The only parts of it that I can see that could be 1916 are the operator's platform. The balance looks to be 1919-1920ish.
I see a casting date on the cylinder block of 2-21-19. This may or may not be the actual casting date. Depending on the foundry, sometimes a date like this may be when the pattern was put into service or was last repaired.

Had asked the seller for some numbers from it to help verify what year/model it is but no response.

I see it has new front wheels and tires. Maybe a case of getting too much money in a restoration. Jim

I would really love to see him get the $55K he is asking now. That would certainly raise the value of mine. Heck it might even be worth a nickle an hour for all the time I put into it at that kind of price!!

The slope nose trucks seem to be popular. Maybe I finally got something old that's appreciating instead of declining like my old tractors.


I had a guy called me last night asking if i knew of any slope nose trucks for sale. He told me he knew of one totally restored for 15 thousand but he thought that was too much. I told him he seriously needs to buy that truck right now.
