D2 WATER PUMP

Does anyone know the part number(s) for a water pump or rebuild kit? HD-213 Motor. Also what kind of grease is supposed to be in the little cup/holder on top of the pump that you turn to push grease into the bearing? What is in there now is quite black, very thick and even smells bad...
Thanks.

On the off chance you haven't gotten 723 replies by now, it was called (logically enough) water pump grease---don't know if still available, but if you Google water pump grease should say if available or, if not, present day replacement to use.

Bud, You are the first to reply. I wasn't even sure it was grease. A quick search shows that Lubriplate stills makes a product - there must be others as well. Now if we can just find water pump rebuild parts...
Thank you.

Try any supplier of Model A Ford parts for water pump grease.

Re: D2 WATER PUMP

Well, the water pump has stopped leaking for now. We were able to clean out all of the hardened/old grease without removing the water pump and reloaded the grease cup. After every 10-15 miles we pushed a little more new grease into the pump housing and it seams to have stopped leaking. The shaft was not loose and the bearings still feel good.
Thanks,
-Snowman.
