Piston Ring Sets

I have three vintage IH Piston Ring sets, new in box. My father-in-law was a truck mechanic for Diamond T trucks from the 1940's to early 1980's. I found these recently in his barn in Wisconsin. I have not been able to determine what IH engine these belong to or what a fair price for these might be. The boxes were unopened when I found them and they seem to be complete. I would appreciate any info that could be provided for these sets and would be willing to make a deal with interested parties.

Following are parts numbers: 67580-R95 (2 sets) , 141992-R92 (1 set)

I also have about a dozen piston rings sets labeled as "Diamond T" but info on boxes indicates that they are applicable to IH engines. I still need to inventory these and check condition.

Piston ring sets for such old vehicles are a find! I'm sure Diamond T piston rings are extra rare.
At this late date few of our old engines will be standard bore unless we install sleeves. So the quick sale of your rings will depend on 1) how common that particular engine was to begin with 2) whether they are for oversize pistons 3) if there are other sources (like military surplus) for those oversize pistons.
Best of luck!

The 141992-R92 is a set for 6 pistons, standard size, for a BD-264 engine. ref MT-97 p. 12-8. Someone is offering a set on Ebay currently for $150.
Don't know the details on this engine over the years. This could be same as a SEALED POWER 5576KX, id'd for Engine Code BD264; Engine Code BG265 and you can buy them from Rock Auto for $94.79 for standard size; out of stock on 30 over

The other part number is also on EBay listing 332360914424. The seller doesn't state an engine application. I don't know either. $150 a set.

Last time I needed some odd ball piston rings, I found you buy them individually by size a shape, meaning that if "sets" for your engine are not shown or available you can still purchase rings. I bought rings for a Gardner 6LXB this way. Just need a good ring catalog. Also got rings for a Peugeot Diesel using that method.

Cornbinder mentioned Gardner diesels and that made me think of this British firm Marine Power Services https://www.marinepowerservices.co.uk/. Custom vintage marine diesel rebuilds and prices to match. Some great old stuff getting a new lease on life. Has a nice technical reference section also.

Thanks to you guys for the info. I am the person who put those sets on Ebay. I am not sure if that is a realistic or fair price, but I figured I would see what kind of response I would get. I am not knowledgeable about trucks, engines, etc. but would like to find a home for these old parts at a fair price if there is any market at all for them. Better then sending them to the scrap yard after all these years.

I also have listed a set of 6 IH UV-549 Cylinder Sleeves in original packaging on Ebay (listing 332350088825). I was not sure if it was OK to post Ebay ad info here and did not want to break any forum rules since I am not really a participating member, but just looking for info.

Thanks again for your help.

As long as it is a link to IH, really do not have much problem. If there is, I would contact you or move it to a different area. If it were spam, Well, just suffice to say, I do not tolerate spam.

The 67580-R95 set is for a RD-372, 406 or -450 engine, standard size, with 4 rings per piston. Evidently there is another variation of these engines that uses 3 rings per piston plus some type of steel insert for the piston.
