I called Witt's Auto Salvage and they don't have any R series (53-55) trucks.
Bummer. I was almost thinking of a road trip!

Anyone looking for vintage '30's-'50's "pup" trailers-THIS place is a GOLD MINE! I'm heading to Hudson,Iowa tomorrow. I have a "lead",that a guy has about 15, 1/2-3/4-ton pick-up's,and Travelalls at his place.I'm looking for a decent 4X4 304/345/392/4-speed,(Hopefully 3:73 gears),and frame,for the KB5 cab and front clip! I'll keep you posted on the outcome. take CARE!

I don't think they monitor their Facebook. Last time they posted was 2013
