TRAVELETTE

QUESTION PERIOD
What year did International first use the name TRAVELETTE?
The answer is on page 217, but which book?

Well, it isn't in the 150 Years of International Harvester.
My son has the other book.

Re: TRAVELETTE

The answer is 1949. An experimental version of the METRO CALLED KB-1-M was shown in Chicago. The METRO had a cut-a-way at the back for fifth wheel and is could pull a matching holiday trailer. The name TRAVELETTE name would reappear years later as an OEM four door cab.

Re: TRAVELETTE

Yep, got me when the name first came out. But in 1957, it was released as a 4 door model short box.
