CONVERTING A 24 VALVE CUMMINS TO A P7100 INJECTION PUMP.

I have a had anew Cummins 5.9 24 valve engine for 15 years or more. I bought this engine for a Diesel re-engine for my IHC. I am not expecting to have any of the more rumor than fact trouble associated with the OEM VP44 injection pump. I want to do this conversion more for the old school look than anything practical. Although, the P7100 has a much better reliability reputation.
While I understand and like the electronics that go with the VP44, I am old enough to prefer the Bosch P7100 with the simpler "one wire" start and run.
I wonder if anyone on this forum has any hands-on experience with this "P" pump conversion. I have Googled for information and even talked to a few conversion kit sellers. So I do not need a bunch of links that I most likely have.
My friend has opted to stay with the VP44 on his 24 Valve Cummins. His 24 Valve is in a 1952 "L", 4X4 short box pickup.

I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have

For a P Pump swap youll need a 12V P pump gear case, cam shaft, and custom injector lines. Thats pretty much it.
55' R-110 w/Intercooled Cummins 4bt, Hoset HX30W, Ford ZF5, Borg Warner 1356 T-Case, Ford 8.8 w/3.73/9800 miles and counting/4x4 swap 50% done
