Pre-WWII US Military Vehicles
This is pretty much how all "civilian-style" "non-battlefield" US military vehicles looked just prior to WWII.
Keep in mind all our State's National Guard Units were Nationalized (put into full-time service as US Army units) a full year before Pearl Harbor.
The color of these trucks has been described as "shiny shoe" or "UPS truck" dark brown. Glossy. Far from the flat OD green we are used to.
Check out the HUGE hood numbers. Check out how the unit designation is in between white or light lines. All very common.
